1. Acceptance and Consent

By enabling SMS-based or email-based 2FA within your account settings, you expressly consent to receive automated one-time passcode (OTP) messages to the phone number and/or email address associated with your account. These messages are strictly transactional and are used solely for authentication and account security purposes.

2. Description of Service

2FA is an optional security feature that adds an additional verification step during login or other security-sensitive actions. Verification codes may be delivered by SMS or email according to your selected preferences and available account options.

3. Information Collection and Use

In connection with our website and services, including optional 2FA functionality, we may collect personal information when you visit our site, register for an account, place an order, request support, enable security features, or otherwise interact with our services. 5. Email Two-Factor Authentication

  • You authorize Defined Software to send verification codes to your registered email address.
  • Email messages are used exclusively for authentication and security purposes.
  • You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and keeping your contact information current.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website to track activity, store preferences, maintain session functionality, enhance user experience, and improve service quality. Use of cookies is governed by our applicable privacy practices.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free delivery of verification messages. Delivery may be delayed, misdirected, or unavailable due to telecommunications failures, carrier restrictions, email service issues, internet connectivity problems, device settings, third-party service interruptions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Defined Software Development, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, 2FA services, including unauthorized access, delivery failures, delayed messages, service interruptions, or security breaches caused in whole or in part by third-party providers or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

12. Relationship to Privacy Policy

Our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information are also described in our Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding 2FA usage, these Terms will govern your use of the 2FA service, while the Privacy Policy will govern broader data handling practices.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date above. Your continued use of 2FA after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those revised Terms.
